Roy Jones Jr. made the first step towards a world championship in his fifth weight class on December 10, 2011, when he won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization Inter-Continental Cruiserweight title with a clear unanimous decision over former ”Contender” participant Max Alexander at the Atlanta Civic Center.

2011 Leaf Muhammad Ali Set Features Roy Jones Jr.

Leaf has released images of their upcoming 2011 Muhammad Ali trading card set and the product is promising for fans of “The Greatest.” Configured similarly to products like Upper Deck's Ultimate Collection or Panini's Timeless Treasures, each box will feature a few base cards and three "hits," which include two autographs from opponents, associates, and "Fans of Ali." Prince Marketing Group negotiated the rights for Leaf to use five of their biggest celebrities in the set, including Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Mickey Rourke, Hulk Hogan, Roy Jones Jr. and Smokin’ Joe Frazier.

After 17 years, Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr stepped into the ring to for the second time. Bernard Hopkins won a unanimous decision in front of the crowd at the Mandalay Bay Events arena in Las Vegas.

Roy Jones Jr vs Danny Green

Australian Danny Green stopped Roy Jones Jr. in the first round of their IBO world cruiserweight title fight preventing the 40-year-old American from claiming his ninth title across five weight classes from middleweight to heavyweight. Green floored Jones with a right hand to the head and Green moved in to apply more pressure, and following a series of blows, referee Howard Foster stopped the bout. Jones offered no excuses for a defeat like the true champion he is but many ringside observers though the referee stopped the fight to early.

Jones Jr Stops Lacy in 10th

Roy Jones Jr. toyed with the crowd and with Jeff Lacy, stopping him after the 10th round Saturday night to retain the NABO light heavyweight championship title. Jones used a left hook to cut Lacy's right eye in the third round, and both of Lacy's eyes were swelling by the seventh. Lacy didn't answer the bell for the 11th round and the referee stopped the bout.

Roy Jones Jr Defeats Omar Sheika

Appearing in the main event of the March Badness show he promoted, Roy Jones Jr. defeated Omar Sheika Saturday night in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida. Jones was clearly faster and more skilled than Sheika, and after the first round it was obvious that Sheika didn't belong in the same ring with Jones. In the fifth round, the ref had seen enough and called a halt to the fight.

Roy Jones Jr had an entourage of rappers with him at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. He had a shiny crown, a menacing grin and some dance moves to boot. Yes, Jones still possesses much of the flair that made him one of boxing’s most popular figures over the past two decades. With an impressive display of lightning-quick combinations, Jones knocked down Felix Trinidad twice on the way to a dominating unanimous decision in a 170-pound fight.

Roy Jones Jr Wins

Roy Jones Jr winked at the crowd, wiggled his hips and mixed in a few high-steps as he trotted toward his first opponent in nearly a year. The 38-year-old is still entertaining in the ring and he can still win. Jones took a 12-round, unanimous decision against previously undefeated Anthony Hanshaw on Saturday night, capturing the vacant IBC light heavyweight title.

Jones Dominates in Boise

Roy Jones Jr overcame a first-round onslaught from game, but outgunned, Prince Badi Ajamu to take a twelve round unanimous decision last night at the Qwest Arena in Boise, ID. The win gave him the NABO Light Heavyweight title that Ajamu was defending.

Roy Jones Jr Captures Piece of History

Undisputed World Light Heavyweight Champion Roy Jones Jr added another belt to his collection with a 12-round unanimous decision over John Ruiz to win the WBA World Heavyweight Title. Being only the second Light Heavyweight to accomplish the distinction of becoming a World Heavyweight Champion, Roy Jones Jr did exactly what he had to do against the much bigger John Ruiz. Jones put on a boxing show by putting a good old fashion ass whipping on John Ruiz. His much superior hand speed, accuracy, movement and overall ring savvy resulted in what became a lopsided match-up.
